NEAL E BOYD

Neal discovered opera music in his senior year of high school, when his brother was forced to do a school project involving the Three Tenors. His brother had little appreciation for the music, but Neal was so enamored by the passion and skill of the famous trio that he started practicing how to sing in Pavarotti’s Italian style. A creative seed was planted, and Neal went on to study speech communications and music at Southeast Missouri State University, and the University of Missouri’s Columbia branch - graduating from both in 2001. He later went to the New England Conservatory in Boston to study opera, which led to a lead role in the World Premier Opera. With winning "America’s Got Talent," Neal hopes to finally realize his dream of becoming an international opera star.

Kirk Cameron: Entertainment Industry Not the Place for Kids

Author: Rosie

In: America's Got Talent, Kaitlyn Maher, Kirk Cameron

Actor Kirk Cameron grew up before our eyes on the television show Growing Pains, and even though it was good for him, he doesn’t want the same for his kids just yet. In a new interview promoting his film Fireproof (in theaters today! Click here, to view the official site) Kirk, 37, explained, "I don’t think that growing up in the entertainment industry is the healthiest place for kids," adding, "the track record kind of shows that."

However, that doesn’t mean that his kids can’t go into the field, eventually — just not now! Even though all six of his kids "love being silly and goofy," it appears as if one of them — 10-year-old daughter Anna — may just make that jump into entertainment when the time is right. Source

Well, my thoughts exactly!  Imagine an actor who actually was a child star saying that television is not the place to grow up.  I wonder if all the people who wanted Kaitlyn Maher to win America’s Got Talent where ever in the business themselves.  That last look at Kaitlyn’s frozen face of fear was enough for the public, she’s now home.

Reality Check - America’s Got Talent includes a Show as Headliner on the Las Vegas Strip

Author: Rosie

In: America's Got Talent, Kaitlyn Maher

I for one really enjoy America’s Got Talent.  But, personally I would never subject my child, no matter how talented, to a reality talent competition for her to be judged by three celebrities and all of America who do not know her. That is exactly what the parents of 4-year-old Kaitlyn Maher chose to do when they allowed their adorable daughter to audition for "America’s Got Talent."  This talent show allows children to audition and the big prize is $1,000,000.00 plus a show as the headliner on the Las Vegas strip.  Come on, is a 4 year old going to be a headliner on the Las Vegas strip?  Give me a break.  The Wright Kids left heartbroken, but would they have had the ability to sustain a show in Las Vegas? No.   If parents cannot see that thier children are too young for this competition, then the show should put a minimum age requirement in to protect them.  Has everyone suddenly forgotten what the negative affects of fame, then rejection, has on children?

The final five; Neal E. Boyd, Nuttin’ But Strings, Queen Emily, Eli Mattson and Donald Bronzewell.

America’s Got Talent - Public finally sent little Kaitlyn Maher home!

Author: Rosie

Thank goodness they finally sent this child home! It has been absolutely irresponsible to see what was happening to this child.  She looked like a deer in the headlights at the last results show, scared and unsure. At least now, she can go back to be an adorable little girl.  Hopefully, she gets over this.

America’s Got Talent - Send little Kaitlyn Maher home!

Author: Rosie

In: America's Got Talent, Kaitlyn Maher, Las Vegas

For those of you not watching America’s Got Talent this season, contestant Kaitlyn Maher is an adorable 4-year-old girl. Her very young and raw talent just is not up to par with that of the older, more seasoned finalists.  She has absolutely no business being on this show, a show that will award a $1 million contract for a full-time Las Vegas revue to its winner–presumably an adult winner capable of handling that much income, a grueling weekly performance schedule, and fast-lane life in Sin City.

Simply put, Kaitlyn Maher does not belong on America’s Got Talent. Not YET, anyway. She should have never been selected for the top 40, and the viewing public should not have voted her through to the top 20 this week. And if she wins this competition, it will ruin not only this entire show but, much more importantly, her entire life. Because whether or not Kaitlyn has coasted through on cuteness or on actual talent so far, the main point is: It’s cruel to keep her in this competition at this point.

Let Kaitlyn go home and sing for FUN–to Kidz Bop albums or to Barney episodes or in school plays or whatever–for at least a few more years. Let whatever talent she has to develop for another decade or so. And then let KAITLYN decide if a career in music, on television, or in Las Vegas is something she wants to pursue.  Source
