America’s Got Talent - Public finally sent little Kaitlyn Maher home!
Thank goodness they finally sent this child home! It has been absolutely irresponsible to see what was happening to this child. She looked like a deer in the headlights at the last results show, scared and unsure. At least now, she can go back to be an adorable little girl. Hopefully, she gets over this.

I agree that Kaitlyn is adorable and I agree that she should not have been in the final five, but I don’t believe her parents were irresponsible in letting her enter the talent show. Did you watch her candid interviews? Have you read more about her? This child is very bright and was thrilled to do her favowite thing in the whole wide world, sing, in front of Amewica. Whatever she chooses to do with her future, I know she’ll be a success.

I agree with Susan. Not all parents that allow their children to participate in competions, including America’s Got Talent, are irresponsible. The parents of Ms. Kaitlyn are great christian people and have told Ms.Kaitlyn that her singing is a gift from God and her way to bless other people. Ms. Kaitlyn does not know of the controversy surrounding her performance on America’s Got Talent, she just enjoys singing. I do agree that America’s Got Talent was irresponsible to open up the competition to any age, knowing that it would be inappropriate for any child(ren) to perform in a 1.5 hour show in Vegas. Therefore, no children, no matter how talented could possibly win. If the prize is only appropriate for adults, than all the contestants should only be adults. They need a “jr” version of the show, and the winnings go into a “trust” for the child to get when they turn 21. They could make the prize a contract to perform via a management company, whatever the talent might be. But again, I believe that Kaitlyn had a positive experience and will have fond memories of all the different people she meet while competing on the show. She is a blessed child with very responsible parents who love her dearly and do have her best interests at heart.

Why Kaitlyn is not too young to be on AGT
There are so many misconceptions about Kaitlyn and her performance in front of millions on America’s Got Talent. Many are concerned thinking that a 4-year old is not ready for the stress of performing and the possible disappointment of losing, should that happen. Some also don’t understand that the winning prize is not a long contract as a headliner in Las Vegas, but just one show, which a child of Kaitlyn’s demeanor and talent could easily handle.

A four-year old can handle a 90 minute show in Vegas, I don’t think so. Regardless, the public made their opinions quite clear by sending her home last week.

Kaitlin had America falling in love with her. I agree they should have a show for children with a prize suitable for children, not Vegas. I also agree that Kaitlin had no knowledge of the controversy surrounding her. She was just having fun, her parents have prepared her well and she handled it like a pro. The Lord has great things in store for her.

Just to make it clear, the 90 minute show in Vegas is called America’s Got Talent Live. The winner is the headliner, but the show also consists of other favorite acts that are brought back to perform again.
My point is that she wouldn’t have been performing for 90 minutes straight anyway.
You are entitled to your opinion, but so am I.
Thank you for letting my opinion be known on your blog.

i agree that there should be a AGT for younger kids because a) it is hard for a four year old to compet with and adult and b) the kids wouldn’t have to go to Las Vegas of all places..
